Photography built around people, purpose and atmosphere.
I am a Dutch portrait and editorial photographer working in Stockholm, across Sweden and in the Netherlands. I create cinematic portraits and visual stories for individuals, artists, performers, organisations and independent brands. Every commission is approached with care, clear communication and a visual direction that feels appropriate to the person or story in front of the camera.
SERVICES
Portraits & Headshots
Character-led portraits for personal branding, casting, editorial use, professional profiles and private commissions. Sessions can be quiet and minimal or more cinematic and location-based.
Artists & Performers
Portraits and promotional imagery for musicians, actors, makers and other creative professionals. Together we build a visual language that reflects your work without losing your individuality.
Editorial & Human Stories
Documentary-led photography centred on real people, working environments and overlooked moments. Suitable for magazines, cultural organisations, interviews and independent publications.
Brands & Organisations
Authentic photography for websites, campaigns, annual reports, social media and internal communication. The emphasis is on credible human stories rather than generic corporate imagery.
Fine Art, Prints & Licensing
Selected work is available as a print or for editorial and commercial licensing. Please contact me with the image, intended use, format and required duration.
THE PROCESS
1. Initial conversation
Every project begins with a conversation about the subject, purpose, audience, location and intended use of the photographs. This allows us to determine whether the collaboration is a good fit and what the project needs.
2. Creative direction & preparation
I develop a clear visual approach and advise on location, clothing, timing, atmosphere and practical preparation. For larger commissions, this stage can include a concise shot list or visual reference.
3. The photography session
I work calmly and give direction when it is useful, while leaving space for natural gestures and genuine moments. Building trust is central to the way I photograph people.
4. Selection & editing
After the session, I make a considered selection and edit the photographs in a consistent style. The final number of images, level of retouching and usage rights are agreed before the assignment.
5. Delivery
Final photographs are delivered digitally in the formats required for their intended use. Delivery timing, publication rights, prints and additional licensing are confirmed in the quotation.
BEFORE THE SHOOT
Clothing
Choose clothing that feels natural to you and fits the intended use of the photographs. Simple shapes, texture and a restrained colour palette usually photograph well. Avoid prominent logos or very fine patterns unless they are part of the story.
Preparation
Arrive rested and allow enough time so the session does not feel rushed. Bring a small selection of clothing options if we have discussed more than one look. For professional commissions, share brand guidelines, reference material and required formats in advance.
On location
Most sessions take place on location in Stockholm, elsewhere in Sweden or in the Netherlands. A studio can be arranged when the project calls for one; studio hire and production costs are confirmed separately.
What to expect
You do not need to know how to pose. I give calm, practical direction while leaving room for natural gestures and genuine moments. Before the session, we agree on the visual direction, timing, deliverables and intended use.
START A CONVERSATION
If you have a person, place or story in mind, tell me a little about the project, preferred location, timing and intended use. I work between Sweden and the Netherlands and consider assignments elsewhere.
