I handle your personal data as carefully as possible. The same applies to the data of models, clients, and business partners. Your data will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided.

The legal grounds for storing personal data are:
• Execution of an agreement, e.g., for a photoshoot or assignment.
• Legitimate interest, such as maintaining contact, marketing purposes, or showcasing work to potential clients.

• Communication regarding projects and collaborations.
• Displaying my work via portfolio, exhibitions, and social media (with permission).

In principle, I do not store sensitive or special personal data. Information such as religious beliefs, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or medical conditions is outside the scope of my work and is not recorded.

All data is treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties.
An exception may apply when a fellow photographer carries out an assignment on my behalf if I am unavailable. In that case, only the necessary contact details will be provided.

Storage, protection, and retention period
Your data is stored in:
• My accounting software (for invoicing and administration)
• My Lightroom environment and other photo-editing software
• My email program and website contact form
Security measures are carefully implemented:
Access is protected by passwords, usernames, and secure connections (SSL). My network is protected by a firewall. My phone and computer are secured with codes and synchronize only via secure services.
The retention period is 7 years, in accordance with legal obligations for administration and accounting. After this period, personal data will be deleted if there is no active contact or ongoing collaboration.

Neither I nor my business can be held liable for damages resulting from unauthorized use of data that takes place beyond my control or without my consent.

Anyone who contacts me via my website, email, or social media, or who commissions an assignment, thereby consents to the storage and use of the data provided as described above.

Portrait rights
As part of my work, I regularly photograph people who are visibly recognizable. Portrait rights remain in effect as laid down in Dutch law.
Photographs of models or clients will only be used for portfolio, exhibitions, or publications (website, social media, printed materials) with prior consent of the portrayed individual or the client.
I advise clients to include in their agreements or regulations that photography and publication of images are permitted for commercial or promotional purposes.

You have the right to request the data I have stored about you, insofar as it falls under the GDPR. Upon written request, you will receive an overview of your data within four weeks, or you may request that it be modified or deleted.
